Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to get a flawless score of 10 points in the Olympic competition. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi and later became the Romanian gymnastics coach, when she was only six years old. In 1969 she was a participant at the Romanian Junior Championships which she finished 13th. She was awarded the championship in 1970. At her first international event in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior meeting for communist countries she won three gold medals In 1973 and 1974, she was all-around junior champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver in her senior debut international competition, held in 1975. This was the first time that she competed as an adult. She won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and was the first female to ever dismount parallel bars using the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began as an entertainment professional during her teenage years. During this time, she performed as the figure skating duo of the older sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in the entertainment business as a teenager. She started her career as a figure skater performing with her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. These were shows that featured ice skating performances that were accompanied by theatrical music.
